designsmithgallery was founded in 1997, when I first began selling modern design to private clients. My moderate success in the field prompted the opening of the actual "gallery" and showroom in February 1998. With the launching of the web site in November, 1998, I had fulfilled my initial ambitions and aspirations for designsmithgallery - in less than 2 years! Drawing on my training and experience as a design professional, I have turned my advocacy of classic and modernist design into my vocation.

Through designsmithgallery.com, I have built an international reputation among collectors and dealers and my commitment to knowledgeable, courteous, and professional service to clients is renowned.

designsmithgallery showcases an interesting mix of mid-century modern, art deco, and "decorator" modern design. I give particular focus to obscure designs, whether by well-known or lesser-known designers.

designsmithgallery is centrally located in Cincinnati's historic Over-The-Rhine neighborhood in the heart of North Main Street entertainment district.

Showroom open by chance or appointment and open most Friday and Saturday afternoons from noon until 6 p.m.
